It's time to make an important announcement now. . .
Show Description
[ Courtesy: Ryan Priest - 12-27-2016 ] *Technical Difficulties. Shep has a bad microphone at the start of the show. It is replaced by the "Barry Farber Concern Mic" about three minutes in. He also loses sound in his headphones near the end of the show due to problems with the power cord. *Shep promises an "entirely new" Jean Shepherd for the coming year. *He resolves to do the following in 1973: -More Interviews -More Time and Temperature Checks -More Snotty Remarks about the President -More Sports Scores -Less Jew's Harp and Kazoo -More News Updates (with Echo Chamber) -More Station Breaks -Get a New, More Serious Theme Song *Shep mentions an encounter with Gloria Steinem, but declines to go into detail. Their paths crossed again on March 10, 1982, when they both appeared as guests on "Late Night with David Letterman".
