Weekdays at 11:30pm - "Mission Midnight" Saturdays - 2:00 pm to either 4:30 or 5:00 pm - This may have been to host a weekly live broadcast of a concert on which he acted as commentator. Shep left Philadelphia and moved back to Cincinnati for about a year before moving to New York to work at WOR where he remained for 22 years.

And clipped to it was a note: WLW Broadcast Box-- Conductor, Nicholas Rescigno and singer, Joan Francis interviewed by WLW commentator Jean Shepherd Promotional Glass: According to Bill, "It was one of probably two dozen that WLW radio and WLWT television (Cincinnati) offered to listeners / viewers in the summer of 1954. They were called the WLW Sunburst glasses. Each one pictured a different WLW radio or television personality, complete with his or her autograph, along with the signatures of various other personalities.
