In 1962 Shepherd came to Boston and did a live TV show from a dock on the Charles River where the Police came up in a launch and wondered what was going on. Shep ad-libbed wonderfully through it, on camera. (Dan Beach) Check out the link to the Blog by Fred Barzyk where he tells about how he was a young 22 year old director at WGBH and 'discovered' Shep for this, the first of many, shows on WGBH.
