Jean Shepherd will be master of ceremonies at the Village Independent Democrats' $25-a-plate fund-raising dinner on Thursday, June 11, at Hotel One Fifth Avenue. Among the entertainers he will introduce are comedian Milt Kamen, singer Leon Bibb, and Ron and Nona, Israeli folksingers, now at the Village gate. Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt will be chief speaker. The Reveerend Howard R. Moody, president of the VID, will reply for the club to the former first lady. Charles McGinness and Gwen Worth, insurgent candidates for Democratic district leadership against Carmine DeSapio and his running mate, will also speak. Former Senator Lehman is also on the speaker list.
